It’s been a while, and I’d love to say it’s because I’ve been really busy doing a lot of writing, and responding to all the agents tripping over each other to represent me. Ha. Far from it. Instead, I am going through one of those lulls. Everything is moving at a snail’s pace. I’ve been through it before.
The effort to self pub Achilles Wept is taking its time, which is no surprise. I work every now and then on updating the Avery McShane series for new characters and such. Send out queries to agents, mostly for Paleopeople, and I’m just now starting to get the first set of rejections. After reading through all my unfinished manuscripts, I’ve chosen the Reef Town manuscript I started a decade ago to be my next project. Editing the initial chapters to go from first to third person narration is what’s on the menu right now - not a simple task I might add.
So I’m moving at a snail’s pace, leaving a proverbial trail of slime behind me, and keeping my eye out for salt flats on the horizon. Onward.
I'm reading Farewell to Arms, and coincidently PBS is airing a series on Hemingway right now. He struggled to get his works published, but kept trying. Hang in there, and keep believing in yourself.

The new ideas for Reef Town are really exciting! It's going to be a great book.
Sure you'll be receiving interest letters too. I've read your material and its always been great, and evokes the imagination.
